The private isle of Lambay is an extraordinary place. The island came into the hands of a newly-wed couple in 1904, Cecil and Maude Baring. Together with the visionary architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, they embarked on a project that would immortalise their love story and survive for generations after they were gone. They turned Lambay into a beautiful home and destination for creative and bold minds: the 15th Century fort became a Romantic Castle with plumbing and open fires in every room; the Coastguard Cottages were renovated for residents, a working farm was built and the stunning 14th Century Chapel brought back to life. They chose to leave no expense spared in creating a magical place committed to creativity, quality of craft and attention to detail. They had a vision, and they made it a reality. Lambay became their secret haven; a paradise of birds, wildlife and stunning architecture where they could immerse themselves and their friends in creativity and pursuit of a life less ordinary. On the wilder parts of the island seals, puffins, cormorants, kittiwakes, shags and gulls mingle with deer, wallabies and free roaming cattle and sheep. In Spring the island is covered in a rich, purple haze of bluebells; in Summer the bright yellow gorse flowers pepper the hillside. The entire island is off-grid, powered by wind and solar energy for all its electricity and supplied by its own fresh spring water source, Trinity Well.
We will be staying in Lambay’s accommodations, and both single- and double-occupancy rooms are available.
You’ll have the option of booking a variety of different kinds of rooms: master super-king rooms with luxury en suite bathroom and sea views ; super-king bedrooms with private en suite bathroom ; and super-king bedroom with shared en suite shower room.
If you’re down for sharing, your options include shared super-king or twin bedrooms with private en suite bathroom.
On Friday, you will have a 50-minute Pilates mat class to welcome you and plunge you directly into the experience. Saturday there will be another 50-minute class and a 90-minute workshop with a surprise accessory (that you can take home with you!). Sunday wraps up with a final 50-minute mat class. Jessy and Nina are both teachers and teacher-trainers with almost 20 years of Pilates teaching experience. Both of them have widened their field of expertise to include other fascinating movement techniques that add to the richness of their teaching approaches.
You will have the possibility to book extra private sessions – Pilates, massage, personal Chopra. Birth date mantra meditation sessions, and craniosacral therapy.
(Theses activities are not included in the price of your weekend; pricing and scheduling details provided upon booking.)
You will have free time to explore the island, its landscape and beauty.

« Empty plates, big smiles and happy memories are my culinary mission! » says Chef Pippa.

Primordial Sound Meditation with Personalized Mantra with Siobhan McKenna
€100
This must be booked in advance with birth date, time (if possible) and place of birth (i.e., Dublin, Ireland as opposed to Malahide, Ireland).
Primordial Sound Meditation is a meditation technique originating in the ancient wisdom of India. Primordial Sounds—the basic, most essential sounds of nature—are used to disconnect us from the activity of life. These individually selected sounds, known as mantras, are based on the vibration the universe was making at the moment of your birth.
Once your Primordial Sound mantra has been determined, you will be taught how to use it on a daily basis to reawaken balance, tranquillity and compassion within. Siobhan will help you to integrate this practice into your daily routine.
Siobhan has had successful careers in many domains: textile design and creation, as a novelist three times over, and mindfulness, including studying with Deepak Chopra, M.D.
(Theses activities are not included in the price of your weekend; pricing and scheduling details provided upon booking.)
